Friends,

I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to investigate Solar Energy. The day everyone in the United States chooses to go with renewable energy is the day the world will change.

We will become free to assert a sane foreign policy without the fear of blackmail by oil-producing nations. Oceans will become cleaner, air in our cities will become more breathable, and carbon emissions will begin to decrease the world over.

We will no longer debate over drilling in areas we wish to preserve because the oil will no longer be needed. We will use less oil year after year.

It may take twenty or thirty years for the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy to be completed, but this is no reason to throw our hands up or delay. Quite the contrary, it means that it is more important now than ever to lay out a thirty-year action plan for renewable energy. Today we are suffering from the failures of our political & business leaders to act prudently over the past decades, so we must act now.

Our impatient culture demands immediate results, and our modern society expects tangible benefits for each individual. Thus, many have put off taking action.

Yet, two or three decades are a blink of an eye in the span of time for our children, our grandchildren and the generations beyond. Two or three decades will go by in a flash if we don't begin today with a strong, steady effort to make progress toward our renewable energy goals every year.

I am reminded of the story about a man who went into a bar and read a sign, “Free Beer Tomorrow.” The man went back to the same bar the very next day, only to see the sign still read “Free Beer Tomorrow.”

There is no waiting until tomorrow because it will never come unless we act today.
